Ranch Chicken Wings

These ranch chicken wings are the perfect flavorful addition for any Super Bowl party or just an easy dinner. They are marinated with dairy free ranch seasoning and baked until crispy perfection. You can choose to either dunk these in even more ranch (my preference!) or toss with buffalo sauce for the best of both worlds!

Ranch Chicken Wings

These ranch chicken wings have been a long-time favorite in our house! Back when I was on my most restrictive diet and couldn’t tolerate nightshades, I was having trouble coming up with a chicken wing recipe that fit my dietary needs but still satisfied my wing-loving husband’s cravings. Honey mustard was out, BBQ was out, traditional buffalo was definitely out, but I finally arrived at ranch! Why not flavor the wings with the condiment that we dip them in?

Needless to say, the wings were a hit, and I came up with a dairy-free and Low FODMAP ranch seasoning that can be used for these wings, as a seasoning on pork chops or chicken, or to make a quick ranch dressing any time. Ranch seasoning typically features buttermilk powder to give it a little bit of tang and allow it to mix into dressing easily, but I’ve substituted that here with powdered coconut milk that I picked up at my local Sprouts. You can also grab some on Amazon! And no, it does NOT taste like coconut. To make up for the tang that isn’t present with the exclusion of the buttermilk powder, I add just a little extra lemon juice and vinegar to the marinade for these ranch chicken wings.

After marinading for as much time as you’ve got, you remove the chicken wings from the marinade, then place them on a wire rack over a rimmed baking sheet and bake at 400 F for 50 minutes. The result: crispy chicken wings with minimal effort and no frying. Wahoo! I like to serve mine with oven fries and a green veggie or salad to make it feel a little healthy. I hope you and your family enjoy these wings!

For the Ranch Chicken Wings

  1. Whisk 3 tablespoons ranch seasoning, mayo, coconut milk, vinegar, lemon juice, and salt. Place chicken wings in a large bowl or ziploc bag and add the marinade. Let sit for 30 minutes-overnight. The longer it sits the more flavor it will have.

  2. Preheat oven to 400 F.

  3. Place a wire rack on top of a rimmed baking sheet. Remove chicken wings from marinade, letting extra ranch drip off, and place on the wire rack. Sprinkle with additional salt. Place in the oven and bake for 50 minutes, until crisp.
